Description :
The FortiSwitch-28C, when paired with FortiGate security appliances enables IT to create a Fortified access edge for your enterprise. Devices connecting to at remote premise are first identified and authenticated. Once authenticated, appropriate policy as defined by IT is applied. The FortiSwitch platforms are purpose-built to meet the Ethernet infrastructure and provisioning needs of today’s network edge.
This 10-port gigabit switch is excellent for increasing the number of ports on a small FortiGate. For connecting to the FortiGate, there are 8 access ports and 2 uplink ports. Customers who have run out of ports on their FortiGate can use this device to add an additional 8 ports to their interface count. Furthermore, these eight ports can be physically deployed in different locations throughout the network, which simplifies installation.
