Adobe Prelude was a video ingest and logging application designed to help video professionals organise footage, add metadata, create rough cuts and prepare media for editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Adobe discontinued Prelude in 2021, and the software is no longer available for new users. Existing users may still encounter Prelude in older Adobe Creative Cloud workflows, but Adobe now recommends using other Creative Cloud applications for modern video production workflows.

- Transcoding: For advanced media transcoding requirements, Adobe Media Encoder is the recommended solution.
- Existing Versions: Previously downloaded versions of Prelude may continue to open, but they no longer receive updates, technical support, or security enhancements and may experience compatibility issues with newer operating systems over time.
