Description
The VM-Series firewall is available in fixed vCPU models—VM-50, VM-100, VM-200, VM-300, VM-500, VM-700, and VM-1000-HV—compatible with supported PAN-OS versions, using a single software package (.xva, .ova, or .vhdx) for deployment. Licensing allows transitioning from fixed model ELA or perpetual licenses to flexible vCPU licenses. All models deploy as guest virtual machines on VMware ESXi, vCloud Air, KVM, Microsoft Hyper-V, Cisco ACI, ENCS, and CSP, with all but the VM-50 supported on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud; only VM-100, VM-300, VM-500, and VM-700 are supported on VMware NSX. Applying the capacity license sets the model’s capabilities, including sessions, rules, security zones, address objects, and IPSec/SSL VPN tunnels.
